Reprimanded by a Pre-School Teacher

So the other morning when I drop BB off at preschool, the teacher pulls me aside and says "I'm a little worried about BB's language." And being the proud mom that I am I'm thinking that his language skills have so far exceeded that of his classmates that they want to go ahead and send him to middle school. Then I realized that would be a ridiculous idea because he is only three and probably couldn't reach the lockers....or defend himself from wedgies. Ahem.

She continues despite the glazed over look on my face, "BB has been using the 'S' word a lot." I said, "um, excuse me? The 'S' word?" Her voice in almost a whisper now, "Yes, he has been using it a lot towards his classmates and we are a bit concerned about it." Knowing damn good and well that BD and I do NOT cuss in front of BB (as shocking as that may seem to you), I am a little more than off put by her accusation. I'm sure she could tell that by the look on my face.

"You see, Mrs. SPM, we have heard him call the other children....stupid...on three separate occasions this week alone." What? Stupid? She has made me 10 minutes late for work so we could discuss at length my three year old saying stupid? Psh! Call me when he starts taking bets on the playground and smoking cigars lady, I don't have time for this non-sense!

Found you through Staciesmadness...too funny of a post - I am laughing my ass off. Glad to find another potty mouthed mom...and by the way my soon to be 9 year old daughter threw out the real "F" bomb just this week. TWICE. She is grounded for life with absolutely no future. Proud Mom I am.

Oh I wish you had actually said that to her FACE! Some of these preschool teachers take themselves way too seriously. Do they even have kids of their own?

Are you Shitting me? I tried to get my 4 year old to quit saying stupid, at least when talking about people. But when he came home from his dads with the colorful expression "what a fucking asshole", I decided I had bigger fish to fry.

UGH, fucking preschool teachers. srsly! btw, my 5yr old's new favorite thing is to call himself stupid. tonight, my husband says to him, "well, you better find somewhere else to live because we don't have stupid people here." that shut him up.

(btw, i don't condone daddy saying that shit, and i had to do some serious damage control, but he needs to stop saying it! grrrr.)

Hahaha! Stupid. Wow. Are you sure you are a fit mother? Your kid says stupid for pete's sake!

Aahh... love it.

I thought you were going to say she was concerned he was saying "shut up" since that also seems to be a big NO NO at preschool. I can maybe see not wanting the kids to say "shut up" or perhaps STFU, but "stupid"?

I hope you told her that he says "stupid" because your family sits around the table and talks about how stupid his preschool teacher is.

good friends with a 3 year old also got his 'review' from preschool.
They said he was too silly on the playground.
Seriously.
I guess he really should start taking the playground much more seriously- he is going to be 4 this summer.
sorry...don't let the assholes get you down.

That is one of the things you may need to just chalk up to the teacher being stupid.

I guess one of those t-shirts that say, "I'm with Stupid" wouldn't go over too well with her

Well why doesn't the teacher work on those other kids not being stupid? Then BB won't have to point it out. It's her fault, really.

Great googly moogly you would think the kid started a prostitution ring out behind the swings or something.

LMAO @ Erin Jeannine - it's all her own fault!!!
